Verified Reviewer |Unusable Shower
My experience with West Shore Homes was unacceptable. They installed a shower that is effectively unusable, as the hot water lasts no more than ten minutes.
This issue did not exist prior to the installation, and there have been no changes to any other hot water sources in my home. Although a technician was sent to address the issue, the problem was not resolved. I was also required to pay a $125 labor fee, which was not refunded despite the lack of resolution. I was subsequently informed that West Shore Homes' master plumbers were unable to correct the issue and I was referred to an outside plumber at my own expense.
Requiring a customer to incur additional costs to remedy a problem directly resulting from the company's installation is unacceptable.
This situation demonstrates a failure to provide competent service and to stand behind their work and lifetime warranty. I strongly regret my decision to use West Shore Homes and would not recommend their services.
Preferred solution: A full refund and any additional costs accrued from this defective shower.

Verified Reviewer |Bathroom floor
My bathroom floor is split and coming up. I called and they stated it's not under warranty.
I spent 13k on my bathroom and I'm very dissatisfied with this. I was hoping I could get someone to come out and see this without having to pay for any charges. I think it's a manufactured defect and should have lasted me longer than a little over a year.
I would like a callback to discuss this and send pictures of the faulty material. Thank you.
- Do awesome work
Preferred solution: Have someone to look at the defect

The installers left my bathroom in a layer of dust. The reason for the remodel was my inability to get in and out of the bathtub due to health concerns.
Now I have to get someone to completely wash down my entire bathroom from floor to ceiling because there is some sort of dust residue all over everything! Also, I was told I could get a glass door, and the day of the install, I was told I could not due to the window being in the way.
Poor communication between the salesman and the project manager. The shower itself looks great, just a bad experience with communication and the way they left everything dirty.
- Good work
- Restrictions on products such as glass walls instead of curtain rod
Preferred solution: Clean bathroom.
User's recommendation: Get everything in writing.

Verified Reviewer |Elder scam
Check customer reviews. There are lots of people not happy with their cancelllation policy.
Watch your aging parents carefully. I think this is a scam on the elderly .
Have to use them due to the 35 % cancellation fee. I will spread the word not to sign a contract with them until someone reviews the contract.
$10,000 later she is roped into a new door contract which she wont cancel due to a 35% fee required.
We want to cancel this order until we can get other quotes. They said it included a military discount which they never verified.
- Very pushy sales tactics with elderly people
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Get other quotes. They are very expensive

My experience.
The initial sales meeting went fine and I committed to having our old shower stall replaced. I looked at other similar companies but went with Westshore because of the reviews and appearance of knowing what they were doing.
Though I thought it was exceptionally expensive I believed the quality of the product and installation would be worth it.
The installers came on Sept 3 2025 and were very professional. They protected the floors and everything else. The installation took about 6 hours and they did a great job cleaning up.
Then they explained the warranty of 1 year. After the first year and up to 5 years , there would be $500 charge per visit.
This was not disclosed on the initial sales visit.
We were told that we had to wait 24 hrs to run water for caulking to dry. During that period we noticed that some of the caulking was left unfinished. I called the company and they arranged a service visit to repair the unfinished caulking.
After the 24 hour period and before the service visit we tested the shower. The control felt very spongy and stuck out noticeably.
I called the company again to make them aware of this and to share the information with the service person coming out. They assured me they would. When the person arrived they knew nothing of it. They repaired the caulking and agreed that the valve was faulty and another service person would come out to repair it.
The second service person came out, agreed that the valve was faulty but said the wall had to come down in order to make the repair.
A third person, the company plumber, came out.
Along with agreeing that the shower valve was faulty and could not be repaired he found that the shower pan was not level and water was not draining properly. The recommended fix now was to tear down the wall to repair the valve and remove the shower pan and possibly the other 2 walls.
During all of this I have spoken with several customer service reps. I will not disclose any names. Most were friendly and professorial.
There were two, however, that I felt just didnt care and were going through the motions. I also found a lack of the information I was sharing being communicated to the appropriate person. Example: I asked the sales rep for a smaller shower head. She said they dont carry that.
I asked the installation crew when they were here and then the person repairing the caulk. All gave the same answer. I mentioned it to the 2nd service person and he had a brand new one in his truck.
Almost a month and a half later the crew came to make repairs. Again they were clean and professional.
They had to rip out the existing shower and start over. They were going to be installing an additional shelf in the process. I showed them the desired location and they marked the wall.
The total job lasted over 10 hrs because they had to go back to the main office to get additional materials. Just as I thought it was done properly I saw that the shelf was not where it was supposed to be.
All this work and the shower is still not what I wanted and paid for.
I discussed this with the lead installer. He was very understanding and said the crew had not communicated the desired location of the shelf to him. He asked what I wanted done, I replied that there was nothing to be done short of tearing down the wall and doing it again! Settling for the shelf in the wrong spot is the only option at this point.
I also found that the curtain rod was not resized to the new shower. It was too long and I had to take it to a friend with a grinder to resize it. An unnecessary inconvenience and 2 more days of not being able to use the shower. The caulking on the shower to wall was done very poorly.
Somebody used their finger to smooth it out and now it overlaps the shower reveal and wall and will discolor over time. It looks tacky and there is a tool to smooth it out professionally. I will have to repair it myself. Some of these things taken individually, might sound trivial but they all add up to a poor installation.
All this work and the shower is still not what I wanted and paid for.
What is the alternative? Tear down the walls again or live with it.
I reached out to Westshore before I posted this but have not heard back.
Mabee it was not communicated properly.
At this point, I can honestly say that I would not recommend Westshore. After reading this letterwould you?

Verified ReviewerDISPUTE DENIED BY THEIR FINANCE COMPANY !
I went under contract with WestShore Homes, and I am so disappointed with myself for dealing with a company that will not stand behind its work. When the contractor put in the bathtub, he did not install something properly, and it leaked.
Someone was sent out to fix it. Then there was mold under my bathtub, and the subfloor was ruined, as well as the ceiling in my basement. I had to have a whole new bathroom installed for less than I paid for a poor-quality WestShore Home mess. I am still stuck paying for the bathtub that is in a landfill somewhere because as soon as it was moved, it broke into four pieces.
The reason you cannot move it is that if you try to move it, it will then be custom-made for the trash! WestShore Homes and its finance company, GreenSky, in my opinion, are in cahoots with ripping people off. Do yourself a favor and do something different. No integrity, poor customer service, poor quality, and will stand tall ripping you off!
In my opinion, which is a fact!
Crooks. Run.
- Get you with the sales person who starts way above price and deduct
- Quality of product poor customer service no integrity all about money

Verified ReviewerI got ripped off, and left with damage to my bathroom!
I contacted this company several times with zero repair or compensation for the damages. I would never recommend this company, Westshore remodeling!
They came back in January 2025 to install a new shower stall; it took 9 hours. They destroyed my wall next to the shower and left it; they covered it up with white putty or paste of some sort. They have avoided me since February 2025 with no explanation. The last person I spoke to at the company said they would ask Alec why he did that to the wall but never got back to me.
It's now June 11th, 2025. This company has aggressive salespeople, along with incompetent employees. I paid over 24,000 dollars for 9 windows, 1 sliding glass door, and a shower stall, and I would highly recommend anyone thinking about using this company to please avoid them. I was new to the area at the time; I'm a widow, and they clearly took advantage of that fact.
I should have seen a red flag while setting up a start date when they asked if anyone else was going to be home with me that day! What difference does that make to them? I'm pissed, and my wall looks like crap. I just had someone here who told me that because of what they did to the wall, moisture is going to get trapped in the ceiling, and the ceiling is going to start crumbling and falling all over the bathroom.
They wanted to send the same guy back; I said I don't want them back here. They screwed up my wall and took 9 miserable hours to do the damage.
They also left screws and sawdust all over my car and carport, too lazy to clean up! Their salespeople are too aggressive, and the workers are sloppy and incompetent.
- Too many to list

Verified ReviewerWest Shore Home misled my senior citizen mother
Be Aware!
West Shore Home should be ashamed of itself for taking advantage of a senior citizen trying to make her bathroom safe.
My 85-year-old mother just (within a week) had her bathroom remodeled by West Shore Homes. They charged her $20,000.00 for a floor, a fiberglass shower stall without a door, a vanity without shelves, and a toilet!
And the material appeared to be prefabricated.
Her bathroom is tinya 5'x6' space. The footprint is even less for the flooring because it has a sink with a cabinet, a toilet, and a shower. Their work did not include her walls, molding, or a shower door!
There is no way they did $20,000.00 worth of work in her bathroom!
And for the record, her flooring, plumbing, and electrical were in great shape before the redo.
West Shore Home practice may be lawful, but it is unethical. Please be aware of this and protect your elderly relatives.

Verified ReviewerRefusal to refund $1200.00 deposit
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, WEST SHORE, FOR ANY REASON. THEY PRACTICE BAIT AND SWITCH, CHARGE YOU FOR CHANGE ORDERS DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENCE AND REFUSE TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL.
As per usual, West Shore Homes is thinking that ignoring me will make me go away. I WILL NOT GO AWAY. THEY OWE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK AND I WANT IT.If I'm pushed, I will go to the Attorney General of Texas and see what they think can be done.
I was told I needed to pay $140.00 more making the total $1200.00. The contract was 2 double hung windows and 1 slider in the primary bedroom. I had to remove the bars from my windows so the new windows could be installed and I paid for the removal.
When the install date approached, temps were in the 20s and I asked for a different date because I felt sorry for the installers. A new date was arranged and thats when I found they planned to install a picture window in the primary bedroom and they presented me with a new contract for over $6000.00 dollars.
I refused to sign the new contract.
I NEVER WANTED A PICTURE WINDOW (wont pass code in Texas). The salesman, Cedrick Brown said we needed to sever ties and he would get the $1200.00 refunded.
West Shore Homes is saying I will not get my deposit and theyre also wanting additional $35. I want my deposit since they never installed the windows and tried to bait and switch to windows I never wanted or agreed to.
User's recommendation: NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Verified ReviewerCustomer Service
We bought doors from Westshore that cost a LOT of money. 2 back doors for sunroom and family room entry.
Double French doors that are in the living room. The men that came out were great and got everything on in one day. Weve had to call customer service on a few different things. The first thing was a seal leak on the door and it took six weeks for them to come to fix it.
Now there is another seal leak on the same door at the bottom of the door. We had another problem and called customer service 2 weeks ago and still have not heard back.
We bought these doors because we liked them and the warranty for life but getting through customer service is very poor. Also just about anything voids the warranty that we were not told until the doors were installed.
